Designed to complement departmental-specific orientations by providing general information any graduate student should know regardless of their department or degree program, the orientation is free and open by invitation to all students. The next jump start will be Thursday, August 13, 2015.

FREE and OPEN to ALL. Come learn about specific topic areas that concern most graduate students. From literature reviews to how to present at a conference, our workshops cover the entire gamut required for a successful graduate experience.

Learn the ins and outs of how to interview participants, analyze the results, and present your work from the IRB to the finished product. You will come away with practical tips and examples and will have a chance to question an experienced professor about her own qualitative work.

International Study Grant

Spring semester 2015, for the first time, graduate and professional students are eligible to receive Regents'/SFRB International Study Grants! Any graduate or professional student who plans to go abroad in spring semester of 2015 or thereafter is especially encouraged to apply. Undergraduate students, as always, are also eligible to receive grants.

Student Conference Award Program

Student Conference Award Program

The Student Conference Award Program (S-CAP) is a travel grant designed to provide undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to obtain funding to attend an academic or professional conference in their field of study. The maximum award is $600.00 and may include: travel, lodging, airport shuttle or taxi fees, and conference registration fees.
