INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS

THESIS/DISSERTATION WRITING AND SUPPORT GROUPS

Our graduate writing consultants lead group workshops in which students writing their theses and dissertations receive regular feedback from peers who use similar methodologies. For more information, please email us at unmgrc@unm.edu.

WORKSHOPS

We offer designated graduate workshops throughout the semester on topics such as writing genres (i.e. literature reviews and proposals), academic skills (i.e. data analysis), and professional skills and leadership development (i.e. conference presentations and thesis/dissertation defense). GRADUATE ONLINE WRITING LAB (GrOWL)

Under normal circumstances, your graduate paper of 5,000 words or fewer will be reviewed and returned to you within 72 hours (three business days) of receiving a submission, Monday through Friday. Click here for more information.

WRITING CAMPS

The GRC hosts a series of professional and academic writing camps that provide graduate students with an ideal environment free from everyday distractions in which to devote their energy to writing.

STATISTICS

Graduate students using statistical analyses may meet with a GRC consultant for assistance in interpreting and communicating results. Consultants can also assist with statistical software and/or provide additional resources. Students can set up appointments or just drop-in during our business hours: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. And also during our extended drop-in hours, on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

COMMONS

The GRC Commons is designed for comfort and student interaction. A welcoming place, the GRC Commons is equipped with an interactive projector, wireless Internet access, and seating for over 20 people. Please go to our Facilities page for more details. 

COMPUTER LAB


The GRC computer lab is open to all graduate and professional degree students. The lab includes five PCs and two MACs, equipped with the latest software. Additional workstations for laptops are available. Please go to our Facilities page for more details.

CONFERENCE ROOM


The GRC conference room is available for group meetings and study sessions. It is equipped with an interactive projector and conference table with seating for eight people. Please go to our Facilities page for more details.
